You can't escape the red miles.

Greetings deviants! I am sitting here thumbing over a little fanfiction I wrote out debating whether or not to post it after all...but *ahem* we shall see. Recently I've been on a bit of a nostalgia/hardcore shipping spree, but not exactly in that order. I'm of the opinion that the Halloween season isn't over yet, as I have yet to watch the Halloween Tree and have yet to be effectively scared over horror flicks. Not that I'm not looking forward to the Christmas holidays, mind you. I just haven't satiated my appetite for the strange and unusual yet. (But let's face it, I don't think that day will ever truly come.) I stumbled across an anime just the other day while puppysitting called Blood + and I've got to say it's strangely addictive. I don't know whether it's just me, but there seems to be undercurrents of humour in a relatively serious show, and I laugh obnoxiously in probably the worst places imaginable. I'm watching it in dub, which might add to the overexaggerated silliness. The main character caused me some grief when some of my pessimistic premonitions were fulfilled-I'll admit I threatened to flip tables-but overall she's okay. The anime has got that classic "mysterious man from her past" and "boy she likes from her new life" love setup, and as I like both Hagi and Kai it will be interesting to see who she ends up with... ((*EDIT* GAHHH I REALLY LOVE HAGI THEY NEED TO MAKE THIS SHIP SAIL.)) The series strangely reminds me of Elfen Lied at times, and it is very nostalgic...but if she ever goes back to fix their grandfather clock I'll GTFO. x'D It also reminds me a bit Persona 2. Both on nostalgic and memory loss and dark humor and such...Tonight I am going to see Thor 2 (if the tickets aren't sold out ) which I am very excited for!!! But before I go I wanted to post a few fun little tidbits.

*EDIT* Soooo yeah. Thor: Dark World was pretty damn good. There were decent amounts of Loki, so my fangirlish appetites were satiated. I'm also finding it really damn hard NOT to ship Loki x Thor now. I think that movies these days are feelsing hard towards yaoi fangirls. I mean, think about it. Xavier x Magneto? Spock x Kirk? Holmes x Watson? Really? REALLY!?! Also, Odin continues to win the worst father of the year award. And Thor continues to parallel the anime Munto. Just saying. And Mugen Spiral. Because that is a thing. Random other thing, saw a trailer for the next Capt movie, which Black Widow is in. Thing is, her hair deflated! And all I could think was: just like Pinkie Pie! She lost the fwomp. It is truly tragic.

My dream last night was totally noteworthy because it has been far too long since I've able to recollect my dreams down to the detail like I usually do. So it started off with me as an exchange student in Japan (although it looked more like some fantasy country from what I can gather) and I was going to school on the first day but one of my friends got sick so I was waiting with her at this really really elaborate marble fountain in the courtyard for a taxi to come and take us to the hotel. There was some back and forth involved, but eventually she ended up staying in the room and I went back to school, because there was an announcement being held. When I got back we all gathered outside in this gorgeous green atmosphere (literally I think my dream went Rococo on me) where the podium and the chairs were. Partway through the ceremony, I saw this really beautiful orangey yellow butterfly and I ended up following him. It feels like lots of time passed where we just hung out or maybe I just became attached to him really really quickly because he became a really close friend to me and I found out that he was the last of his kind. (He could talk.) But then these scientists came with the intention of splicing his genes so they could make more and more of his ultra-rare kind but we knew this would result in heavy laboratory experimentation and that he was the only member of his kind for a reason. So we ran away until he told me that here he had to leave me-that he had a secret tunnel to escape to but he didn't want me to know where it was. I was really hurt and confused because I'd lost a good friend and I ended up not being able to do anything for him, so I sat there and cried watching the scientists search all around for the entranceway. Finally one uncovered it stone steps leading down into a passageway through the earth, and I insisted that I go along. They said sure and put me in front as a kind of decoy because we didn't know what we'd find down there. It opened up to a valley where there were gigantic trees and (as I apparently knew there would be beforehand) dinosaurs. Telling them that they should try to catch a T-Rex instead I escaped through the water and was swept along until I came to a place where a T-Rex was drinking. Passing by, I came out on dry land and started looking for my friend. Instead, spiralling up a tree there were great wooden stairs which I followed to a bed of low clouds on which there was a white hallway (looking awfully like the entranceway to my old high school.) There were people coming and going both ways, but they were faceless, but there was a single table halfway down that was in black and white and had Fred Astaire and a few other people there who were singing together. Then my dream kinda morphed altogether into this weird run off of Scream. I was standing in the entranceway to Corvo's room (from Dishonored) while this eerie music was playing and I was getting extremely paranoid. I was looking at the date on my phone and the light of it was the only light in the room apart from this creepy glow coming from the door outside. When the date changed I was relieved-I think it was December 11-and I figured I had another year to go yet. But then like I was watching a scary movie I got the strange urge to cover my eyes and ears but instead I turned around and saw a knife sticking out of the floor. Turning back I saw three people standing in the doorway, two of them were girls and the other one was in shadow and they were smiling at me and I knew they were dead. Then I woke up. O.o

Two Homestuck references now need to be made. I really flipping want a Crosbytop TT^TT and during Thor the 'darkness' that threatened to engulf the world was really redness, so in one scene in particular I leaned over to my stepbro and whispered: You can't escape the red miles. :3
